Trade Course :Electrician     Duration: 2 yr.       Units: 2
Skills acquired: On completion of the course the trainee shall have through knowledge of, generation, transmission and distribution line, overhead different types of insulators. Earthing used in substation, power station, lighting arrestor, reactor, and different types of capacitors in AC/DC circuit used in electronic and electrical installation in industries. Construction of different types of batteries and electrolytes used in it, he shall able to prepare and repair batteries in workshop. Servicing and repairing of table fan, ceiling fan, exhaust fan, hair dryer, mixer, liquidizer, grinder, water pump, washing machine, AC/DC generator, transformers, electromagnetic clutches and relays used in AC/DC circuit. He shall be able to, design prepare HT/CT panel boards used for industries / workshop. Detect Fault in different types of AC and DC starter and motor timer used in factories and workshop and take up maintenance of machinery like lathe, machine, milling machine, capson lathe, CNC machine, Connect different types of measuring instrument on the panel boards. He shall be an expert in hand winding and machine winding of transformers, field coils of DC motors, rewinding of armature stator winding bell/Buzzer/NVC, OLC of DC starter.
Options for employment are :Can work as a lineman / Wireman /maintenance electrician electrical supervisor / electrical contractor / service technician/expert rewinder/ lab technician /electrical maintenance Forman in Pvt. sector industries and govt. sector.
Options for self-employment are :He can be a contractor of domestic wiring and industrial wiring and disco lighting in five star hotels. He shall be able to run his own electrical workshop. And take up oil filtration of transformer on lines. Setup own shop for rewinding of different types of AC/DC motors, generator & transformers, Panel board wiring busbar wiring and measuring instrument wiring.

ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. AGE LIMIT
 For admission to a National Trade Certificate Course, the candidate should have attained age of 14 years but should not have attained the age of 40 years on 1 August of the year of admission.
  1. FITNESS
    The candidate should be mentally and physically fit and should meet the minimum physical standards prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Rajasthan.
    The candidate should not be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease or any physical deficiency or deformity, which makes him unsuitable for the branch of trade he wishes to joins.
    A Medical Certificate of fitness in respect of both (a) & (b) above is required along with the admission application form. Candidate will be removed from the roll of the Institute even if   a disease/deficiency deformity covered under (b) comes to the notice of the Institute at any subsequent date after admission.
    The Industrial training need hard work during the training & after the training trainee should ready for all type maintenance, neatness & hard work. So Candidate should determine before Subunit the admission form that she/he is willing of Vocational training and want to accept the training as self employment.
    The Candidate should note that there is regular hard work for 6 hours in a day in I.T.C. & No Summer & long Vacations.

ADMISSION MODALITIES:
1.  Admission are made every year normally in July/August specific dates are fixed annually in accordance with the academic/training course schedules issued by the Directorate, and are indicated on the Admission Application Form.
2.  Admission to certificate course for all types of seats are made on the basis of merit as explained elsewhere, subject to priorities/preferences as specified in related clauses by the Institute.
3.  A candidate seeking admission to any course of training must get his/her name registered by submitting  a duly completed 'REGISTRATION & ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM' prescribed by the Institute and enclosed  with  this  Prospectus,  latest by the date  specified  on  the form along with necessary documents asked for, with a Registration & Application Processing Fee of Rs. 250/-
  The Registration & Application Processing Fee is Non-refundable and Payment of this fee does not guarantee admission, nor does it entitle a candidate claim admission even if he meets the minimum requirements for admission. Only one form is required to fill in for consideration of admission to all courses offered by the Institute.
  Incomplete form or forms received after the specified date will be rejected and the fee will be forfeited. The institute does not acknowledge receipt of the forms separately. If acknowledgement is desired the forms should be sent by Registered A/D.
4.  The procedure, norms, priorities and preference under which the selection system operates are explained hereafter. These are, however only indicative of the process and cannot be challenged legally or otherwise.
5.  All forms received in the Institute are scrutinized and processed by the Admission Selection Committee after the last date of receipt of forms. Candidate whose forms are found in order and who meet the minimum requirements are then listed in order of merit as explained under "Selection" at the appropriate place for interviews.
6.  The lists of selected candidate after interview are displayed on the Institute notice board immediately after selection is completed for all seats. All selected candidate MUST DEPOSIT NECESSARY ADMISSION & OTHER FEES on the SAME DAY (the day of selection) failing which the name of the candidate is deleted and the seat offered to the next candidate on the merit list.
7.  A candidate who is admitted to any course in the institute must join within 3 days of starting classes. In case he/she fails to join his/her name will be deleted and all fees and Caution Money will be forfeited.
8.  The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate without assigning any reason whatsoever, irrespective of his meeting the other requirements for admission.
9.  The Institute does not charge any Donation or Captivation for admission and impresses strict penalties for any such attempt (demand offer/payment) by any person.  Consequently, if a candidate tries to secure or secures admission by paying any money to any person, his name will be removed from the rolls of the Institute even if this fact become known to any subsequent date.
ADMISSION SELECTION PRIORITIES & RESERVATION
1.  Subject to the priorities listed there under, admission will be made on the basis of merit, for which purpose the Admission Committee will prepare merit lists separately for various priorities. The merit lists will be based on:
i)  Percentage of marks in the qualifying examination or any higher public examination in relevant subjects, whichever higher.
ii) Marks of any aptitude test that may be given at the discretion of the committee, or interview in lieu thereof.
iii)   The Committee will also determine the quantum of weight age to be given to higher qualifications in relevant subjects, provided such examination has been passed with at least 50% marks and add the same to the credit of a candidate to determine place on the merit list.
iv) Admission to various categories of seats will be based on separate specific merit lists. However, the allotment of trade will be governed by overall merit priority.
2.  Candidate who has passed qualifying or higher examination from Institutions in Rajasthan will be given priority in admission.
3.  The following priorities will apply to admission to Certificate Course.
a)  Candidates from the own district.
b)  Candidate from other districts of Rajasthan.
c)  Candidate from other states of India.
4.  For the remaining seats taken together merit list will be drawn subject to the provision. That as far as possible candidates from School will be accommodated. However, allotment of various trades will be according to priority number on the lists and the candidates’ preferences.
5.  Notwithstanding the  provisions as  above  the  Admission  Committee  may  fix  minimum percentage makes for admission to various trades with a view to ensure  proper distribution of candidates in all trades.
6.  The management reserves the right to nominate 3 candidates in each trade irrespective of priorities or merit as determined above, subject to the condition that they meet the norms fixed by the Admission Committee.
7.  In accordance with the rules of the Directorate of Technical Education.  The Institute may also admit supernumerary candidates, to provide for any possible dropouts, to the limit of 25% of authorized seats.
8.  In all matters relating to selection/admission and in the matter of interpretation of all above mentioned clauses, the decision of the Principal / Managing Committee will be final and   binding on all concerned.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

1.  Attendance at all lecture/lab/workshop sessions is compulsory and regularity of attendance is strictly insisted upon. Any trainee who comes late after the attendance has been marked, or who misses any class (lecture, practical) will be treated as absent on that particular day and will be marked accordingly in the attendance register.
2.  Every trainee will have to put in 80% in each subject of minimum attendance (calculated as a percentage of the number or working days scheduled for instruction including internal test & examinations) to be eligible to appear the external examinations conducted by NCVT.      Such candidate whose attendance fails short of the prescribed minimum will not be permitted to appear at the examinations even if their forms have been forwarded earlier by the institute.
3.  The certificate course trainees do not have any vacations and are allowed only 12 days Casual leave in any year. Besides, the Institute also observes certain holidays according to the Institute calendar Apart from these holiday/causal leave, the trainees are required to be consistently regular and so other leave is normally allowed except in very emergent situation or sickness.
Such leave will be granted only on specific request by the parent/registered guardian. That must either apply in own handwriting or countersign the leave application. The application must be submitted and got sanctioned before the leave applied for is availed, otherwise it will be treated as unauthorized absence.
Leave for sickness must be endorsed by a duly qualified registered medical practitioner and in case of serious sickness requiring leave for more than 3 days by the Medical Officer of a Govt. hospital under his seal.
4.  Absence without authorized leave is viewed very seriously. A fine of Rs. 2/- per day is imposed for each of absence without authorized leave. Moreover, the name of a student/trainee who is absents without sanctioned leave will be removed from the rolls of the Institute in the following cases.
(i) Continuous absence (including absence due to coming late or due to missing class without permission) for 5 days or more.
(ii) Total absence of 10 days in a month on any account including leave other than on acceptable medical grounds.
(iii) If the attendance of a candidate, counted cumulatively, falls short of 60% any subject at any time due to absence with or without leave. Names of such students/trainees will be taken back on rolls only under very special circumstances, at the sole discretion of the Principal, on payment of a readmission fee.
5.  It is obligatory for every trainee to attend the special / extra remedial classes arranged from time to time, as also all functions arranged/organized by the Institute or the Trust officially for all students.
Absence from any such class, function will be treated as unauthorized absence from the Institute and will be liable to be punished in accordance with clause 4 above.
EVALUATION AND TESTS
1.  Evaluation in various certificate courses is done on cumulative basis and consists of external examinations, and internal assessment & test. Every student is required to pass separately in the external as well as internal evaluation.
2.  External examinations for final year are held at the end of year in Final year by the NCVT for all certificate courses, and consist of theory examination (written) & Practical examination.
3.  Internal assessment is done by the Institute cumulatively on the basis of test, assignment & workshop records, spread over the entire session both for theory as well as practical work. Monthly test is conducted for the theory part and Practical test depends on the nature of the course.
Every trainee must take all such test and must complete all assignments, theoretical as well as practical. Failure to appear at any test or to submit any assignment in time will result in proportionate reduction in marks.
4.  The subjects  of  examination (internal as well as external),  the  details of  question  papers, practical test etc. and the specific weight age given to each as also the minimum marks required for a pass are given in the relevant syllabi prescribed for various courses.
WITHDRAWAL
1.  A student, after getting confirmed admission is not supposed to leave the Institute. However, he may withdraw his name form the institute, but fees once deposited will not be refunded in any circumstances.
2.  A seat is normally kept in subsequent years for every student admitted to the Institute. Therefore, if a student does not rejoin any subsequent year without giving prior notice, he/she will have to pay full fees of the year.
3.  If a student leaves the Institute without giving due prior notice or without clearing his/her dues, the Caution Money will stand forfeited and no certificate of any short will be issued to him/her, beside necessary legal action against him/her, for realization of dues.
REMOVAL
1.  The name of a student will be removed from the rolls of the Institute in the following Cases:
i)  Indiscipline serious breach of institute rules, participating/instigating strike, or any act unbecoming of a student, inside or outside the institute.
ii) Causing willful damage to institute property or an attempt to cause such damage.
iii) Unauthorized absence (defined elsewhere) or failure to keep pace with the class in studies or to complete prescribed assignments.
iv) Cheating in test/examinations or giving false statements in records.
v)  All cases where the Principal is convinced that continuation of the student in the Institute is detrimental to the interest of the other students or the Institute.
2.  A student whose name has been removed from the rolls of the Institute may be readmitted only in very special cases at the sole discretion of the Principal/Management on payment of requisite Readmission Fee.
OBLIGATORY GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1.  The Institute has fully equipped labs & workshop and all equipments. However, it is obligatory for each student to provide himself the necessary tools, text books, Notebooks, Stationary and instruments of a personal nature and use.
2.  The Institute expects a high degree of discipline and decorum. It is therefore obligatory for every student to maintain perfect discipline, orderly conduct and behavior in and out of the institute, and full respect to the Teachers/Instructors.
3.  Any student/trainee indulging in any sort of indiscipline, misconduct, disorderly behavior or any type of cheating of showing any kind of disrespect to any teacher, or indulging in fighting or causing damage to Institute property, will be liable to be removed from the rolls the Institute in addition to a special fine.
4.  The Institute has no hostel accommodation available at present, and cannot take the responsibility to arrange any accommodation for the student. The Institute however will not allow any student to come late or miss class or other function on this account.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
1.  The admission of the trainee is subject to the acceptance of the Director of Technical Education.   Due to any reason, in case the Directorate refuses the registration of the particulars Trainee, the admission will be cancelled automatically as he/she will have no claim on the institution.
2.  Uniform: Proper dress as prescribed time to time and shoes are a must in institution. Long hair, shabby dress, overgrown, beard are not permissible.
3.  Trainee should obey all rules and regulation framed by the Managing Committee/Governing body and incase of default Trainees are liable to be dismissed without notice and Decision of Managing Committee/Governing Body of the society will be final.
4.  Trainee will not join other course or classes.
